With the decision to stay in Phase 2 by North Carolina officials through 5 pm, Friday, August 7, the building reopening team has recommended we continue the 9 am service in the prayer garden for the next several weeks (at least through Sunday, August 9), and live stream on line worship every Sunday at 11 am. The Sunday morning 9 am Prayer Garden Worship Services give folks ready for in person worship the chance to be together as a community of faith in a safe way for worship and fellowship. Please remember to call the church office and let us know you are coming to the Prayer Garden Worship Service. The live stream worship services give folks the opportunity to experience worship while not ready to attend an outside service in person. Please pray with me for our church as we seek to carry out together our mission of sharing God’s love on this corner, from this corner, to every corner. Also, during the coming weeks of uncertainty, discernment, and transition, join me in praying for our students, school administrators, teachers, and families.

Grace and peace,
Roy Dobyns
Pastor, First Baptist Church of Boone

The COC at FBC (Christian Outreach Center) will work with the missions committee and the administrative council to determine when reopening will be. The financial support of other feeding ministries in the area will continue while the COC at FBC is closed.
