Church Family,

Please pray for your Pastor, the Church Staff, and the Administrative Council. The Administrative Council and Church Leadership continue to work together in discerning the most effective process, procedures, and protocols, to begin preparations and discussions relating to gathering for worship in the buildings of the First Baptist Church of Boone. In addition to following the recommendations of local, state, and federal government officials; decisions will be made considering the health and well-being of our congregation and community.

The Administrative Council will serve as the “reopening” leadership team. (Ric Mattar, Sylvia Peay, Dan Norman, Skip Greene, Beverly Holton, Beth Winkler, Carolyn Shull, Talana Trexler, Roy Dobyns)

Reopening Team Mission Statement
“Because we desire to make the love for our neighbor “crystal clear”, because we love our community of faith, because we will take in to consideration the demographics of our congregation, we will seek to move forward by minimizing risks and trusting our congregation to act responsibly.”

The next Administrative Council Meeting is Wednesday, June 3. When the time comes to consider “in person” group meetings, bible study, adult education ministry, the COC at FBC, and children/youth ministry gatherings, there will be additional committees and care groups providing leadership for next steps.

Grace and peace, Roy
